The Yard Management application shows how RFID can integrated with other technologies such as WiFi and GPS to automate the management of (in this case scrap cars, but it could be containers or pallets) in a large yard. Cheap Gen2 tags are attached to the car windows to increase the accuracy of a GPS based system, while every operation is sent in real-time to the central office.
